Actress Angel Locsin made an accounting of all the goods she and fellow volunteers were able to collect and repack for donation to the victims of Taal Volcano’s eruption last week.
Locsin, a known philanthropist, hopes that the help they were able to provide will somehow alleviate the plight of the people affected by the calamity, she said on her Instagram account earlier yesterday, Jan. 19.
“Team effort! Nagpapasalamat po kami ni Lyn Garcia, my fiancé Neil Arce, at kapatid ko na si Angela sa lahat po ng nag-volunteer na magdamag na nag-repack, nagbuhat, at nag-distribute ng goods para makatulong sa mga apektado ng bulkang Taal,” Locsin said on her Instagram account.
She also thanked all those who have sent their donations both cash and in kind.
“Sa mga kusang nagbigay po ng donasyong goods and cash, maraming salamat po,” she added.
The actress said they were able to donate 3,126 food packs, 1,760 hygiene kits, 200 towels, 100 blankets, water bottles and multiple boxes of medical needs and face masks, and a few boxes of baby needs. They were able to help four evacuation centers.
The actress also listed some donors and volunteers who took part in their donation drive.
The names of Agot Isidro, Bubbles Paraiso and Pocholo Barretto are included in the list of volunteers.
Angel also revealed the exact details of what her friend Bea Alonzo donated for the evacuees. According to Angel, Bea donated 10 sacks of rice, 3 boxes of crackers, 1 box of a toothbrush, 2 boxes of toothpaste, 3 boxes of noodles, 3 boxes of corned beef, 3 boxes of bath soap, and 2 boxes of detergent soap.
Angel also expressed her gratitude to the other people who helped her out in donating to the evacuees in Batangas.
